Peter Mitchell, owner of Industry Central, is the developer of the 50-hectare industrial estate development site, which he bought in 2007.
Peter has 28 years’ experience of industrial development. He began his career in 1980 as an industrial real estate cadet in Sydney at the age of 20, and worked his way quickly up the property business. By 1990 Peter had stepped out on his own as a property developer, specialising in commercial and industrial sites.
Peter has successfully developed a diverse range of developments from shopping centres to industrial developments in Queensland and along the eastern seaboard of Australia.
Peter’s success has enabled him to pick and choose his projects strategically. He has a track record of spotting under-valued land then sharing the uplift in value with his clients through lower prices. His financial strength provides prospective clients the peace of mind that only a well-capitalised developer allows, and it enables him to offer finance on flexible, attractive financial payment terms.
Peter’s experience and network enables him to offer the complete package to clients, including building design and construction, on very competitive terms. He believes in a hands-on implementation approach, working closely with clients (when this is their wish) to achieve the best outcome.
Peter is a father of five grown up children. He lives on a farm with four dogs, and is passionate about environmentally sustainable development.
